Web traffic statistics
It's astounding how many commercial websites there are that don't use any sort of tracking software. Without some form of web analytics it's going to be very hard to work out how well a website is performing. Every website we create gets linked to a web analytics account. (In most case we use Google Analytics but may use different tracking software depending on the project.) With Google Analytics a lot of data can be extracted about the way a website is being used. It can provide detailed, exportable reports that can show visitor numbers, where they are are located, how they got there (links clicked, search terms etc). 8bits email a monthly report to all customers with a snapshot of how their website is performing.
